Bandwidth is allocated monthly via a per-region bandwidth pool system. This means that extra bandwidth on some of your virtual machines can be used by other virtual machines that you have in the same region. Bandwith usage in a region is the sum of external incoming and outgoing traffic in the current calendar month. Our flexible and affordable excess bandwidth policy alleviates worry over bandwidth limits or high overage charges. Bandwidth used exceeding the allocated region pool in a calendar month is billed at $0.003/GB.
Tenant Networks
Tenant networks are isolated virtual networks. Virtual machines provisioned on tenant networks can acquire any IP address in the assigned private subnet, enabling more complex network architectures. Scalable load balancers can be created in tenant networks to balance requests between several VMs.
Each tenant network is $0.0056/hr ($4/mo). The first load balancer on a tenant network is free; additional load balancers are $0.0028/hr ($2/mo).
Storage
Images, snapshots, and volumes are stored on a distributed cluster, with space billed at $0.03/GB/mo.
Floating IPs
Floating IP addresses can be moved between instances without downtime. Like volumes, you can easily attach and detach a floating IP from a VM via the control panel or the API.
Each VM includes one free external IP address. Additional external IP addresses can be added for $1/mo each (charged hourly).
